The Dance Theatre of Harlem, founded in 1969 by Arthur Mitchell and Karel Shook, is a pioneering ballet company and school that celebrates African American culture through classical ballet. Known for its diverse repertoire and innovative choreography, DTH offers educational programs, community outreach, and captivating performances worldwide, making dance accessible to all while inspiring artistic excellence and social change.
The refreshed logo embodies sophistication, elegance, and refinement, reflecting the esteemed legacy of DTH. A black-and-white palette was chosen not only to convey timelessness and prestige but also to create a striking contrast that allows the vivid, expressive photography of the dancers to take centre stage.
